Baygon 24-Hour Roach Killer: Does it work

Baygon 24-Hour Roach Killer: Does it work

Is Baygon 24-Hour Roach Killer a good option or should one stick to bug spray?

The best way to fight cockroaches, is the proactive approach and even better, if you don't really need to do a lot

The idea with cockroach hotels, is that you place these traps around areas most likely cockroaches are or would be. Such as near a trash can and under the sink

These traps are designed to not instantly kill the cockroach, but to poison them and slowly kill them. Cockroaches should smell the bait, inside of the trap. Go eat some of the bait, then go back to their hiding spot and die there, then the other cockroaches will eat the dead poisoned cockroach and in turn be poisoned. Then continue the cycle

In the box

Inside the Baygon 24-Hour Roach Killer box you'll find 6 traps, sealed together in a plastic bag

The traps is good for up to 90 days (3 months), after they are placed (removed from the plastic)

Placement

Before placing the traps, you want to clean the areas first. If there's available food before they get to the trap, why would they eat from the trap?

You will want to place the traps in area you expect cockroaches to be, such as around the sink and trashcans, underneath the fridge and where you might have seen cockroaches coming from

Then leave it there for a few weeks. Should you feel a trap isn't have too good effect in a placement, then you can try to move it to another areas

Effect

After a few days, I could already see a notable decrease of cockroaches and after 1-2 week, I barely saw any cockroaches anymore

After about 1 month, I could see the cockroaches slowly increasing. Indicating the the traps either gone bad or more likely, been emptied out. Indicating it's time to replace some traps

Conclusion

From my testing, the Baygon 24-Hour Roach Killer works well and it's a good alternative to using spray. You can place these traps in strategic areas and much better get to places spraying easily can't reach, as the cockroaches will carry the poison themselves to their hideouts
