Topone: Cockroach Bait: Does it work?
Is Topone: Cockroach Bait a good solution to fight cockroaches?
The best way to fight cockroaches, is the proactive approach and even better, if you don't really need to do a lot
The idea with cockroach hotels, is that you place these traps around areas most likely cockroaches are or would be. Such as near a trash can and under the sink
These traps are designed to not instantly kill the cockroach, but to poison them and slowly kill them. Cockroaches should smell the bait, inside of the trap. Go eat some of the bait, then go back to their hiding spot and die there, then the other cockroaches will eat the dead poisoned cockroach and in turn be poisoned. Then continue the cycle
In the box
Inside the Topone: Cockroach Bait box you'll find 6 traps, sealed in sets of 3 traps. Which is something I really liked, because it better allows me to adjust how many traps I set out
The traps is good for up to 90 days (3 months), after they are placed (removed from the plastic)
Placement
Before placing the traps, you want to clean the areas first. If there's available food before they get to the trap, why would they eat from the trap?
You will want to place the traps in area you expect cockroaches to be, such as around the sink and trashcans, underneath the fridge and where you might have seen cockroaches coming from
Then leave it there for a few weeks. Should you feel a trap isn't have too good effect in a placement, then you can try to move it to another areas
Effect
There was a slight decrease in cockroaches, but not much. Multiple boxes was used for the test, so even if one could be a dud. It's highly unlikely all of them would be
It might work better on other cockroaches variants, but from our testing it's not been very good on the German Cockroaches
Conclusion
While Topone: Cockroach Bait works to some degree on German cockroaches, it's not as effective as the competition
