Waking up during the night to pee could mean you're peeing wrong
Frequent urge to pee
If you're reading this article, you mostly likely have the same issue I had where I would wake up frequently through the night having to pee and also frequently feel thought the day that I had to peeAfter consulting doctors, without any proper help beside the standard "lose weight" answers doctors love to say in this country for almost everything. I had mostly given up that this was just how it was to become older, and options was either to lose weight or take medication
Peeing incorrectly
Then I came across an article about not peeing correctly. Where someone had been at the doctor and was asked to give an urine sample. Where the doctor instructed the patient to not push, when they went to pee. But to relax and let the body control it instead, and if done correctly the last few drops off pee should feel warm. The patient tries this method and afterwards they did an ultrasound and the doctor could inform the bladder was properly emptiedIf you're a pusher like myself, then you're using muscles outside of the ones the body use to regulate peeing. Meaning the presser you put forces the body in a state where it sends signals it have to pee, do this often enough and you'll easily trigger the need to pee signal
After reading this article and the other specialist doctors confirming that you shouldn't push. I tried this out, which was weirs at first. Even if the body quickly caught up, as you're now doing it how the body expects it to happen. Already the first day I could notice a less urge to pee and only woke up once during the nigh, compered to every few hours the nights before
A few months later
I've now gone a few months, where I rarely wake up during the night anymore feeling I have to pee and I haven't done any other major changes. Of course excessive liquid intake before bedtime can still wake me up during the night, but now it would be once and not every few hoursIf you struggle with having to pee all the time and especially during night, and if you're a pusher, as I used to be. Then definitely try out relaxing and not pushing at all
