Cleaning Mi Electric Scooter
Regular cleaning is important, for the bike to look nice and functioning as expected
Regular cleaning is important. I normally rinse my bike if I have been driving in a dirty area or if the road have been wet. Then once in a while a do a more proper cleaning
Equipment needed
When cleaning the bike, some few equipment's are needed
- Sponge / cloth / wash glove
- Bucket of water
- Car shampoo
- Water (preferably from a hose)
Ensure the power lid is closed
Before starting cleaning, you want to ensure the red power lid is closed
Rinse the bike
First step, is to rinse of dirt from the bike
Here I take the hose and rinse all the different areas of the bike with regular tap water. I also try to get under the spoilers and underneath the bike. I normally gently run my hand over all the different areas, to ensure most dirt loosens up and is gone
Mix shampoo and water
After the bike is rinsed, I'll mix shampoo and water in a bucket. Then use a sponge / cloth, to coat the bike with the shampoo. I use a wash glove, as it makes it very easy to clean in the groves where you stand and other non-flat areas
Cleaning with a car shampoo, also have the added benefit of better protecting your paint. So the color remains for longer
Rise of soap
After the soap have been on the bike for a little while, I'll rinse it off
Dry the bike
Depending on how the weather is, I might put it outside to air dry or use a towel to wipe away the worst of the water
