Windows 11 have been announced

Microsoft have announced their next Windows and you might need to buy a new computer, to be able to get it

Not long ago, we talked about Windows 10 getting an official retirement date and now Windows 11 is announced

Windows 11 will be rolled out early in 2022 and in waves, as a free upgrade to supported Windows 10 devices. Meaning that not all computer will support the new Windows 11. If your computer won't support Windows 11, you'll be able to run on Windows 10 and Microsoft have promised to support it for a few more years

If you plan to buy a new PC today, they'll start labeling computers that will support Windows 11 with “Free upgrade to Windows 11”. Most computers currently being sold, will support Windows 11. Later this year, computers with Windows 11 pre-installed will be available


New look


A big part of the new Windows 11, is it's new cleaner design and more focus on multi tasking. Where you can have different personalized desktops and snap designs, where you can show multiple apps side by side on the screen in an easier way, than today

Teams


Microsoft continues to push Teams, which they opened for free personal use last year and will be integrated communication options in Windows 11

Widgets


The Widgets are back. Allowing you to get quick updates, with ease from your different apps and sites

Gaming


Microsoft continues it focus on gaming, Windows 11 comes with DirectX 12 Ultimate and Auto HDR. Xbox Game Pass will be integrated in Windows 11, but a seprat subscription will be needed to use it

New desktop


The new desktop layout, will feature a centered taskbar (can also be left aligned) and the start menu will be more interactive focused


Android App in Windows 11


You'll be able to find Android apps in the new Windows 11 store, that you can use on your computer. It's powered by Amazone appstore
