Google Assistant to make voice command quicker

Ongoing Google Assistant insider beta is removing the need to say Hey Google
Google Assistant to make voice command quicker

The current Android 11 beta update, codenamed Guacamole and released to selected inside testers. Reportedly have made improvementa on how to communicate with Google Assistant, according to Android Police [↗] and 9to5Google [↗]

For time sensitive quick tasks, you can now directly say what you want. Without having to say "Hey Google" first

Quick Tasks

These quick task will include alarms, timers and calls. So if your alarm is ringing, you can straight say "snooze" or "stop". Not "Hey Google stop/snooze", as you currently have to do

You'll be able to toggle on/off this feature from the Google app

As this is a beta feature and currently only released to selected testers. There's no release date, it might not even get past testing and never be released to the general public

I for one, hope this feature will come. I use Google Assistant a lot and especially for alarms. It's so convenient when you're cooking or doing laundry, to just tell Google Assistant to set alarm for x-minutes
