IKEA TJUGO: Review

IKEA have stopped selling onetime use batteries and is only offering Rechargeable batteries these days. Lets take a look at their charger called TJUGO
TJUGO

In the box you'll find the device itself, a power cable and manual. There's no batteries included and needs to be bought separately
The device supports up to 8 batteries of AA and AAA size, where you can have either 8 of one type or mixture of the two
IKEA claims the device will go into trickle charging once the batteries are fully charged. So that they can safely stay in the charger, without deteriorating the batteries
Once the charger is connected to power, a status light will appear. Solid white means fully charged, blinking white means charging and red means batteries are either damaged or don't support charging
Verdict
The TJUGO does it job, it both charges and stores up to 8 batteriesThe material feels midrange and it's not powered by USB-C. Given the price of the device and no batteries included. You'll end up in a similar price point, as much of the competition after you buy the batteries
