Mi Body Composition Scale 2: Review

Xiaomi's Mi Body Composition Scale 2 is a smart scale, that you can connect to an app and measure a lot of different areas or just stand on, to use as a normal scale. Be aware there also exist an Mi Scale 2, which have less features
Design
The scale has a top glass plate, with four metal rings that aren't there just for designThe display is completely invisible, until you step onto the scale and it will instantly start to measure your weight
Underside of the scale is made of plastic. Here you'll find the battery hatch, where four AAA-batteries are needed and four rubber feet, to prevent the scale from sliding
Companion app
To use all features of the scale, you'll need the companion app Zepp Life (replaced Mi Fit app)When using the app, you can create multiple user profiles. So you can easily keep track of each family members progress
After the first weighing with the app and you select a profile for the result, the scale will keep track who is who without the need to use the app. Then this date will be synced with the app, next time its connected
In the Zepp Life dashboard, you'll easily your own weight and body score. If you click on either of them, you'll go into a dedicated section
Weight
Weight is the most basic of the two and is mostly just your weight and historical data of your weightIf the person being weight is above 18 years, you'll also get to see how the person compares to other at the same age group
Body Score
When you open the Body Score section, is where Mi Body Composition Scale 2 really different from the Mi Scale 2. As these aren't available on the more basic versionHere you can see your BMI, Protein, Body Mass, Body Age and more. These values are all measured from the silver rings on the scale. So after the scale have measured your weight, it will do a second measure for this information. All these values, are only available to persons above 18 years

Having the benefit of getting historical data, can help show how you're progressingThe battery life is very long and batteries have lasted up to two years, between changes. Of course, frequency will vary on usage and batteries you use
There's a lot of features on this scale. Most of which might be good to have, but most won't really use
