The Mitchells vs. The Machines: Review

Are you on the lookout for a good family movie, that will make you feel with the character, laugh out load, shed a tear and be exited? Then this might be the movie for you

Wow, just wow. Did I say wow? Just finished watching this movie with my family and we all loved it

It's been a long time since we saw a movie and we all watched from start to end together

The Mitchells

Katie will soon go cross country to start college, with like minded people. Who loves movies as much as she does. Her little brother Aaron is sad that his big sister will be leaving him soon, as they have close bond

She has a falling out with her father, she feels he don't understand her anymore. Her mother try to connect them, but it isn't easy

Change of plans

Her father also feel they're drifting apart and even more so now that she'll be leaving for collage. On the day she's leaving and she's ready for her family to send her to the airport. She walks out to see her family packing up the car and to find out her father have cancelled her airplane ticket

He said they'll go in a road trip to her school, so they can spend some time together before she starts and he's already spoke with the school, who said it's fine to miss the first week of introductions

She asks if her mother is Okey with it, she says she didn't have a say in it. Her brother is happy to get to spend some more time with her sister, before she starts college

The interruption

While on the road and after a few family event stops, they see a sign for a dinosaur museum and Aaron loves dinosaurs. So they decide to make a stop. Aaron is upset when he sees the place, because none of the dinosaur are actually accurat and runs of to have a serious discussion with the manager. The dad is laughing and knows the manager will get it now

While they're there, there's lights shooting down from the sky. Almost like falling meteor's

Fun box

The meteor's turned out to be robots. They ask the humans if they like to have fun and count the number of humans. One of the guys says out loud, that he likes to have fun. Katie's dad tell the guy he doesn't like to have fun. The guy insist, then the robots grab him by force and throws him into the fun box

It turns out the robots are out to capture all humans

Avoid capture

After trying to avoid being captured, they get forces into a corner and Katie managed to knock out two of the robots, by using one of the broken robots arms against them

The Mitchells hide in the museum and starts to border up the places the parents decide to hide. While Katie wants to fight against the machine

While Katie and her brother is on the roof, Katie's drawing about her plan to kill them down with a kill switch get taken by the wind and blown down to the ground where the two knocked out robots were. They're now awake and notice the drawing, they shouts out how the humans know about the killswitch

Katie manage to fall down from the roof and the robots notice her. She flees into the the museum to her family and the robots come chasing after

Defect

After some commotion, the Mitchells yells out stop and to everyone's suprise, including the robots. They stop, the robots looks at each other and says that's not supposed to happen

The Mitchells realise when Katie knocked them out earlier, something must have broken with the robots and question them out, learns of a way to shutdown the robots

The robots try to escape by saying they'll go into the basement and look for other humans. The go behind a shelf and fake walk down stairs, jump back with pained faces on and say they're humans too. The robots screw up when they try to say their human namaes and understand they're not fooling them

The Mitchells decide to go on a journey to shutdown the robots. Now the journey begins
