Amazfit PowerBuds
I've been using the the Amazfit PowerBuds for the last few months as my main headset and overall satisfied with the headset
It has magnetic ear hooks, which makes the headset sit really well when you're moving a lot or its windy. Never had issues with headset falling out, when using with the ear hook
Without the ear hook, the headset sits really well if you're walking around, sitting or moderat activity. But for heavy wind or movements, I'd recommend the ear hooks
One of the biggest drawbacks with this headset, is the noise cancelling could be better. If I use it in calls, I get sometimes complains that they can hear noise around me. But to be honest, the headset is marketed as a sports headset and audio is normally higher priority
On the audio side, it has a good overall quality with a nice range
Battery life is good and normally get 4-8hr out of one charge. Plus's the case holds an additional 2 charges
The headset also features a heart rate monitor, but it's a feature I've never used. I use my smart watch for that and have disabled this feature. If this is a feature you're interested in, please note the expected battery life will decrease a bit if enabled
The headset is IP55 water resistant, so you shouldn't be worried about using them out in the rain or if you're sweating. The case is not water resistant, so you need to assure it doesn't get wet and that you don't put wet headset in it
The Zepp companion app for the Amazfit PowerBuds, allow you to adjust what tapping on the headset twice or three times does. Each side can have two options setup
You can also perform Firmware updates from the app and it will update the headset to the latest version
Two drawbacks I've had with this headset, not already mention. First is that it's not always the headset connects to the case, so when I later try to play audio on my phone speakers I get no sound. Then I see the headset is still connected to the Bluetooth, a quick wipe of the connector plugs quickly fixes the issue. But it's an annoying reoccurring issue and is something I wish to be improved in future iterations
The second thing is if it's very windy outside, passthrough audio suddenly gets enabled and it's really annoying. I get it's a security feature, so you can hear what happens around you, but it's too sensitive when it comes to wind and I wish I could disable it (might be a way, but so far not found it)
Summary: Overall a good headset, especially for sports. Noise cancelling isn't the best and if you'll be in a lot of calls, I'd consider another headset. If audio is primary, I'd say it's a good choice
