Niu by Vikings: Review

Vikings is a group of restaurants operating around Philippines and one of their concepts is Niu located at SM Aura, Taguig
Niu have more branches, but following review is focused on the one in SM Aura
Niu SM Aura
At the roof of the mall section of SM Aura, you'll find what they call Sky Dining and it's here you'll find Niu. Take one more escalator up and Niu's huge restaurant appearsAfter you have gotten seated, you'll see the food selections stretches from the entrance and all the way to the back. Everything you see is included in the entrance fee, with the exception of some higher end alcoholic beverages
You'll find many different sections, covering foods from around the world. Most of the food is ready for you to just grab what you want
While in some sections, you tell the chef what you want and they'll cook it for you. Either on the spot or deliver it to your table, such as Shabu-Shabu
The have a pretty decent dessert selection, from ice-cream scopes and cakes, to more traditional Filipino dessert made on the spot
Dining options
You can choose between lunch and dinner reservations and difference is mainly when in the day you can come to eat. Food options are the same between the two. Where lunch is slight cheaper than dinner, but isn't as many hoursFor bigger groups or extra privacy, they offer three meeting rooms called; Denmark, Norway and Sweden
Entrance for adult isn't exactly cheap, but considering alcohol, such as beer and wine, high quality food and endless refills are included, the price isn't to bad. They also have different promos. Such as free entrance on your birthday, with one paying adult
Verdict
Niu food selection have decreased, plus some wear and tear is becoming noticeable on the restaurant. Still, the food holds an high quality and the selection is decentThere was a slight bug problem in the toilet area, but the restaurant itself was clean and the kitchen area seemed fine, as far as one could tell. Hopefully this will be addressed
All in all, you can expect an pleasant experience and most staff is very friendly, with the exception of the reception. Which gave of the impression that they think they're more important than you and wasn't as service minded, as one would expect
Our verdict: Check it out!
