How to wash pillows in washing machine

Pillows might need cleaning once in a while and washing machine can easily clean most pillows

There's many reasons one might to wash pillows, such as spills or bad odours. Most pillows can safely be washed in the washing machine, but not memory foam pillows

Not all pillows can be washed in a washing machine! Foam pillows, such as memory foam pillows, can only be hand washed

Ensure washing machine is balanced

When cleaning pillows in the washing machine, you want to wash two pillows at the same time. So that the washing machine is balanced

Detergent

Add detergent and you can also add slight fabric softener, if you wish

Low to medium heat

Now you want to put your washing machine program to cotton (wool for down pillows) or a heavy item program, if your washing machine have it

Put temperature to a medium temperature, such as 30°C - 40°C and add extra rinse cycle

Drying

If you have a combined washer and dryer, you can straight add drying. Here we added 20min, as we will air dry it the rest

If you don't have an option to air dry in the sun, it's best to completely dry in the washing machine

Pillows needs to be completely dried before use, to avoid mold building up inside

Tip: Add dryer balls or tennis balls to the drying cycle, to avoid the pillows lumping
