Wait, that shouldn't be in there...

Finding foreign objects in food is never fun and I recently did with a Trolli product, let's see how the manufacturer handle it

I love candies and probably (definitely) consumes to much, but that's another story

As I was having a bag Trolli Mix Stixi, I eat a few sticks without any issues. Then suddenly as I was chewing on a stick, my mouth suddenly stopped before I was expecting it to and it felt like my teeth was going to break. Inside one of the Stixi sticks I found a piece of what I believe to be plastic. It doesn't break (easily at least) or melt when I rub it in my hands, as candy and sugar would

I bought some Trolli Mix Stixi at my local grocery store here in Philippines in June. They're Made in Germany and by all the languages on the back, this is the variant sold all over Europe and other places in the world

Reporting to Trolli

As it's pretty serious to find foreign objects in food and it could have gone a lot worse if one of my kids was the one eating it. I decided to report it to Trolli, so they could check they factory in case there's some damage equipment and they can prevent anyone else having issues

I reported the Lot. Nr. it belonged to (730322111) to Trolli, so they could check it up. I've had multiple bags from this lot and only one stick I had issues with

Trolli reply

A couple of weeks later Nicole Zidlicky, the Sales Administration National reached out to me. Apologized for the occuranced, informed that no issues was found at the factory and they'd be sending me some samples from their wide range of Trolli products as compensation

The compensation

Shortly after, Trolli's partner in Philippines reached out and we scheduled a time for them to deliver the "We're sorry" gift box, as I'm calling it. They also asked if I could provide them with the piece I found, so they could examine it. I asked what they think it was and they said it could be a chipped of piece from the mold, but they can't say for sure without examining it

When the delivery was ready, I met up with their representative at a nearby petrol station, as he came with public transport and it can be a bit hassle getting to my place, if you're not familiar in the area and not driving yourself

The representative handed me this red big box that was sealed, took a selfie with me (common practice in this country, so they can prove that the delivery happened / task is done) and we parted our ways

Inside the "We're sorry" gift box:
- Trolli Multi Mix 500g
- Trolli Big Apple 175g
- Trolli YoFruite 150g
- Trolli Sour GlowWorms 100g
- Trolli Pop Eye 75g
- Trolli Mix Stixi 85g (4 bags)
