Friday Nintendo revealed the pricing and the release date for their new Nintendo Switch Online tier

Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is coming October 26th (Europe and Asia) / 25th (North America)

Pricing

The new membership will only be available in 12 month subscription option and cost about double of the current 12 months options

Individual membership will cost you GBP 34.99 / EUR 39.99 / US$ 49.99

While the Family Membership good up to 8 users, will cost you GBP 59.99 / EUR 69.99 / US$79.99

The current subscription options will still remain available, so you don't need to upgrade if you don't feel the need to

Pro-rated upgrade

If you have an existing Nintendo Switch Online membership and want to upgrade, Nintendo will give you an prorated discount for every day remaining of your current subscription

Nintendo UK had following rate to show

Changing from a Nintendo Switch Online Individual membership: GBP 0.04 / day

Changing from a Nintendo Switch Online Family membership: GBP 0.08 / day

So if you have an individual membership with 100 days left, that would give you a GBP 4.00 discount on the new membership, if you choose to upgrade

What's included?

As originally announced back in September, Nintendo 64 and SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis games will be part of this membership

Now Nintendo have given more details on what's included and some of the features that comes with

The Nintendo 64 games will feature an higher resolution, suspend points (save states), so you can save wherever you want and 4 player online and local multiplayer

While SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis will feature an rewind option. So if you're at a difficult section and fail or a really fun section you want to play more, you can rewind and instantly try again

Includes DLC

New from this announcement, is that the new subscription tier will also include the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons expansion Happy Home Paradise at no additional cost for subscribers

No information was given if you'll keep the DLC after the subscription runs out or if more DLCs will be added in the future
