We've a newer review of this, so you might want to check out
You're of course welcome to continue reading our impression from 2021
PandaPro
Earlier this year, Foodpanda released PandaPro in the Philippines. An paid membership, which gives you some additional benefits in FoodpandaLet's take a look why you might want to spend PHP 50 (about 1 US$ / 0.8 EUR) a month, for PandaPro subscription from Foodpanda and why it might not be for you
They have also come with options for 6 and 12 month subscription, at discounted rates
Benefits
Only reason to get the membership, are the benefits it brings and why I signed up for it in the first placeYou get 5 free deliveries a month from any restaurant, including restaurants not allowing vouchers. As long as you surpass the minimum spend of PHP 400 (about 8 US$ / 6.8 EUR), the free delivery will be automatic applied
In addition, you'll get following benefits, but these won't be applicable to all restaurant: 5% off pick-up, Dine in offers and 20% or more off on restaurants
If the store discount says Pro, it's exclusive to PandaPro members
When it doesn't benefit you
As a non-PandaPro member, you can still take part in all discounts and free deliveries not branded ProI didn't bother signing up to PandaPro, before I came to a restaurant order where the delivery charge went over PHP 50. As that was the first time I'd actually benefit from the membership
Yes, some stores also have exclusive pro discount's and these are often displayed in stores for non members to see as well. This way you can see if you'd save enough, to warrent paying the subscription
With this restaurant you'd save 2% more as a pandapro member, so the extra savings isn't always that much and depends on the restaurant/shop
If you rarely order food for over P400, you won't be getting the free shipping discount's and then this subscription might not be for you. Unless you see restaurant or shops provide exclusive pro discount's, that would save you enough to cover the membership fee
So was it a good deal or waste of money?
If you don't order every month or order enough to surpass PHP 50 monthly fee, in either saved delivery fees or other pro discount's. Then you're also quickly paying more for the membership, than just straight paying for the membershipShould you not need the benefits for a period, you can of course save money by unsubscribing. Then just resubscribe next time you need it
I'd say it's worth it, if you order a bit of food every month and especially if you get a yearly subscription, as the amount to exceed is even lower for it to be worth it
