Landers is an superstore chain in the Philippines, selling everything from groceries to appliances. They've stores many places around Luzon and in addition they also offer online shopping
Ordering and selection
After you've either opened their website or downloaded their app, you can start shopping. If you sign in, your cart will be saved and you can go between the app and website, while all items from your cart will still be thereAfter browsing through their online store, I can find most items I'd normally find in their physical stores. The only exception, is appliances such as, fridge, TV, computers and similar
When you find something you want to buy, just click add to cart and one item is added to card. If you wish more items, you'll now have a plus and minus symbol where there add to cart button was, here you can adjust quantity of the item or remove from cart, by bringing it down to zero
Checkout
After you're done picking your items, it's time to checkout. Fill out your delivery address or pick the one you've already saved from your last visit. Then onto finding a delivery slotYou can select up to four days forward or the current day. Since a sale is ongoing, a lot of the slots are already booked. Delivery timeslots are on 3hrs windows, so the driver should arrive within those three hours. You can also select what they call eco-friendly and allow them to deliver up to two hours before your window. Making your total delivery window 5hr, if selected
There's also options for in-store pickup, meaning the pickers will get all items and check out. Then you can just go an collect in the window you selected. Note that this option have not been tested by us
Next up is payment, here you can either pay with debit / credit card or cash on delivery (COD), if your total amount is less than PHP 10 000,00
This is also your last chance to apply vouchers. So should you have any, this is the time to add and you can often find vouchers listed around the Landers website / mobile app
After payment, you'll get a receipt on screen and on e-mail
Delivery

With a few seconds to spare, the delivery person ringed the doorbell. The grocery are transported by regular car (at least when they go far and with bigger orders), but at least the frozen and chilled products was placed inside a cooler box, in the car
Driver placed all the ordered items outside the door, made me sign a paper to confirm I received it and went off
The green bags contains frozen / chilled items and inside these bags, there are bags with ice. So all my frozen/chilled items was still cold and considering the closest Landers is over 30min with car away, that's not to bad
Verdict
The Landers website and mobile app is easy to operate. I received all items as ordered, delivery arrived with-in agreed window and items was in good conditionThere was a slight weight discrepancy between what I ordered and what was delivered, so I got an e-mail that the amount would be refunded to my card. Which was handled automatically, no need for me to do anything. There will always be some weight discrepancy, when you deal with fresh products sold by weight, such as; fruit, vegetables and meat products sold. So this was handled well by Landers
