Lure you in deals

I remember last time I was in Europe, I walked past this big Subway sign of this great sub offer. Went inside and offer was no longer mention, all deals seen inside was more expensive. If I asked about the deal outside, I could still get it, but they'd they try to upsale you
50% off...
Food Panda in the Philippines are notorious for the lure you in deal. I know many of my friends just scroll past when it says 50% off, as it's almost guaranteed to be capped at PHP 75 (~US$ 1.50) and not really a good deal in most scenariosI bet many people only read 50% discount and not the fine print about the cap, that they don't display before you click into the store and in smaller text. They probably make good money on it, otherwise I don't think they'd still be doing it
If you see lower percentages, there's normally no cap and you'll get the discount on all items (or certain categories)
Can I benefit?
Lure you in deals, can still be a good deal if you are aware of the situation and play it to your favourFirst of, if you was planning to buy from that specific store in the first place, then you straight up got a discount and that's already a win
Another aspect is if the discount is per transaction and you're allowed to make multiple transactions. Then you might be able to do multiple orders to get the discount more times, by dividing your total order
Just remember to consider that if you need to pay delivery per transaction, that cost need to be added into the equation or you might be loosing your discount in delivery fees and end up paying more than just doing it in one transaction
