Commander 16 have been renamed
Before settling on the Commander 16 name, extensive search had been done so they weren't infringing on anyone else trade mark of the Commander name in the computer category
After announcing the product, they received a letter from a layer that they were infringing on someone else's trade mark and if they decided to launch the product with the current name. They would receive an cease and desist letter, and face a lawsuit. So they decided to change the name to Chickenlips 16
8-Bit Guy says if he got these two options from the beginning, he probably choosen this new name
Chickenlips 16 aims to be an inexpensive, reliable and educational device
As prices on Commodore 64 and similar devices prices are ever increasing, and getting older and more unreliable
Chickenlips 16 aims to offer a modern 8-bit computer, with modern parts that are readily available
Pricing and release date They plan to release three models and to decrease price by each model released. They aim to be below US$ 99 for the third model
There's currently no release date for the system
