UGREEN Nexode RG 65W 3-Port PD GaN Charger: Review

The design is what makes this charger stands out, from it peers and how we ended up writing a review on a charger. It doesn't hurt that it has a pretty decent Fast Charging Protocol support of both PD (Power Delivery) and QC (Qualcomm Quick Charge), while utilizing GaN technology
Connections
UGREEN Nexode RG 65W comes with three charging port, located on top of the charger. Where two ports are USB-C and one is USB-AThe first USB-C charge port labeled C1, supports up to 65W, while the second USB-C port called C2 in the middle supports up to 30W and the USB-A supports up to 22.5W. This is true if you use only one port, if you use two or more ports the available Watt will be lower per ports and the maximum supported Watt is limited to 65W for the charger
The feet is removable and underneath you'll find US plug type A. The charger supports all regions power types, by supporting the following ranges 100-240V 50/60Hz
The different emotions
The charger has three emotions, indicating that it's either charging, fully charged or no device connectedUgreen mentions in the instructions that fully charge might not be detected on all devices, as it will depend on how the device reports it. This is not something we experienced during testing, so it doesn't seem to affect many devices
Nitpicks
We don't really have anything negative to say about the charger, but here are our nitpickingsThe glossy parts of the headband and screen easily gets both scratches and fingerprints. Luckily you don't see it too easily, unless in a very bright room or in sunlight. Still, we'd love for other materials in the next iteration
While talking about the next iteration, we hope it can become slimmer and longer. Instead of square, as we have frequently run into issues where it won't fit next to our other chargers. It's not a big issue, but still something we'd love to see. Even just trimming the ears and making them more indent, would resolve many of the issues we've faced
Not really a nitpick
Due to it supporting dynamic charging speeds, you can get warning on devices that are fully charged that power delivery is low. This is not a bug, but a feature to both save power and protect your battery. It will automatically ramp up again, if power level drops on the device. We got it a few times on our laptop, but never had issues with the charging speeds or it maintaining power on the laptopVerdict
Given the fairly small size, it's easy to bring in your bag or use at home, to reduce clutter. Since it allows you to charge up to three devices at the same time and it can even charge laptops supporting USB-C charging. It can replace most, if not all of your chargersUnless you have a device that supports more than 65W or uses a special charging protocol. Most, if not all of your devices will charger at max speed
Our verdict: Check it out!
