Revisiting IKEA Philippines 9 months later

Last year IKEA Philippines opened, let's see if anything have changed since then

We visited IKEA Philippines last year, middle of pandemic restrictions and shortly after it opened in the Philippines. Now, roughly 9 months later we visited IKEA again and let's see if anything have changed

Entering IKEA

Entering IKEA is much easier this time around, as no reservation is required. Just show your vaccination card at the entrance and walk on in. IKEA write on their homepage at they have an limit on how many can be in the store at any give time, so there might be some queuing if you go in peek hours, but we didn't notice anything outside peek hours

IKEA Restaurant

IKEA Restaurant is mostly the same as our last visit. A few new items on the menu, such as Swedish Beer. There still quite of a line if you go to the first serving area, but if you go to the one on the left side, there was almost no line and there's no line to get to either of the serving areas

Food was good, but my meat balls were lukewarm at best. We visited very late in the day, but food should still be severed hot

Showrooms and Markethall

Not much have changed in the Showrooms and Markethall areas. Sortiment in a few areas is slight better than last time, but otherwise mostly the same. Selection in Smart Home items is still very narrow, compared to other countries

Check-out our visit from last year, for more Showrooms and Markethall photos

If you visit one of IKEA's restrooms, also found inside the Markethall. You might see a sign that says This cubical is child-friendly. I thought that meant it would have the changing table, but I was wrong. What it means it that they actually have smaller toilets, that are child friendly. While we talk about IKEA toilets, this is an area that have become worse since last year. Many of the toilets were out of order and sinks that malfunction

IKEA Swedish Food Market

The selection have greatly improved in the IKEA Swedish Food Market, compared to our last visit. There's still a few items missing, that one expect to find in the Swedish Food Market in other countries
