Two hacker groups have managed to hack the PS5

It's about a year since the PlayStation 5 was released and overthe past few days, two hacks have been revealed by two seperat groups
Even if their Twitter names are similar, they are two seperat groups and have not collaborated on these discoveries
Hack #1
Andy Nguyen (theflow0) [↗] have managed to unlock Debug Setting on a retail version PlayStation 5, running firmware 4.0.3No plans for disclosure. No ETA.

Hack #2
failOverflow [↗] announced the second hack, where they have managed to get ahold of the root keyTranslation: We got all (symmetric) ps5 root keys. They can all be obtained from software - including per-console root key, if you look hard enough!

If you find the name failOverflow family, it's because they were huge during the PlayStation 3 days and hade some huge milestones there
What does this mean?
This means there's huge progress on the modding scene, but if it will make any impace on the general public moding the PlayStation 5 is yet to be seenIt's still in it's early days and you shouldn't look away from the info being disclosed to Sony. So that it will be fixed in a future firmware update
