Activision Blizzard have had some though months, with law-suits and terminations. One of the outcomes is that one of the Overwatch characters getting a new name

Good bye McCree
Jesse McCree was part of the launch roster of characters and is now getting a new name; Cole Cassidy
Starting October 26th, the character will be officially named Cole Cassidy
Why change the name?
Jesse McCree was named after one of the developers, who have since left Blizzard over the sexual harassments turmoil ongoing in the company
Blizzard have stated that going forward, no new characters will be named after developers

In connection to the name change of Jesse McCree, Blizzard is giving everyone a free BattleTAG name change
