Disc X Next gen digital only console
If you've a PlayStation 4 / Xbox One disk version of Doom Eternal and a digital only version of PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X | S, then you won't be able to upgrade. As you you'll need to use the disk to play the game on the next gen console
Leave your savefile behind
If you're going from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5, your single player campaign can not be transferred. Your multiplayer can be transferredFor all other system, all savedata will be carried over. For the Xbox, all you need to do is sign in with the same Xbox account
