From 30% to 12%
Most digital stores have taken a 30% cut on everything sold through their stores, but the last few years we've seen more and more stores lowering this percentage. At least for developers who sell for less than a certain amount yearly. Microsoft is now going down to 12% for Microsoft Store for PC games (no word for Xbox games)Apple lowered their rates for smaller developers to 15% last year, for developers with a revenue below US$1 million in annual net sales. Apple still takes 30% of the sales for the ones above this revenue. Google is also lowering their rate to 15% for developers with less than US$1 million in annual net sales starting July 1st, beyond that will still be on 30%
