New world record in Super Mario Bros. Speedrunning
For the first time, the speedrun record have gone below 4m 50s in the Any% category

The new world record is by Niftski on 4m 54s 948ms in the Any% category
Speedrunning is about getting the fastest time, either beating a game or a level
Within speedrunning there are different categories, such as the Any%. Which is the least restrictive category. Allowing the users to use both warp pipes and glitches. For Super Mario Bros. you also have a category for no warp pipe called warpless. JeremyMKW is the current world record holder of warpless with a time of 18m 58s 924ms
